Autumn and Winter Renovations. Autumn and Winter is the time that we move our work indoors, so let’s get busy with renovations! Some of our outdoor projects slow down when the cold sets in, which makes for a great opportunity to tackle some of those interior projects and Home Analysis walk-through’s.
Some TLC Before Winter Sets In. Our main goal in renovations is the same as any other building project: with a focus on long term structural integrity. Many of the old farmhouses that are scattered all over Maine are getting bought up left and right. Well that means they will need some TLC before winter sets in. In order for those houses to survive long term, the new homeowners are going to have to renovate at some point, and some may need to renovate immediately, out of necessity. So! We want to reach out to them and offer our unique services.
Restorations. hardwood flooring, ornate windows, doors, custom cabinets. Many features of an old home are irreplaceable. The materials and craftsmanship simply do not exist anymore. You can not match the old look and materials. So in a way, renovation is actually preservation. Sometimes in order to preserve, we have to first restore. It is an art and a craft, bringing an old structure to where it should be.
Before renovating we can also do a full Home Analysis which includes a walk through, deep inspection, and estimate.
